Camping with the horses allows a more authentic backcountry cowboy experience. Guests can spend more time handling horses and exploring their scenic surroundings. Camping in the backcountry is a spectacular event, with a blanket of stars, campfires, cowboy music, poetry and home cooked meals, including grass-fed beef from TK Cattle Ranch. Guests will be immersed in an authentic backcountry cowboy way of life. Each camping ride is unique and remote. TK Outfitting rarely covers the same backcountry trail or camp more than once or twice a season. Camp elevations are typically situated in higher elevations in mid-summer and lower elevations in spring and fall seasons. Trails on all our Utah horseback rides are mostly un-groomed and pioneered by wildlife, Native Americans, outlaws or herdsmen. Areas explored are selected for their scenic quality, pristine condition and remote location.
